We are an NGO working to strengthen the harmony between man and nature through our programs, which benefit both the Amazon and economic growth by transforming wood products and then providing added value, and guiding them to responsible markets. In Oxapampa, Peru where our artisans live and work, a tree is normally sold for 50 to 100 soles. Pats products are designed to create 400 pieces from a single tree, and, providing training and work to 40 artisans and five carpenters, we have been able to increase the monetary benefits of a single tree to over 15,000 soles. In this way, our wood accessories and bio-jewelry create systems for sustainable development by involving the local population, mainly women, and generating jobs and increased income, while reducing pressure on the forests through efficient use of trees.
