The organization was formed as a way to fight exploitation by intermediaries in the coffee value chain. Together, the Union’s objective is to sell our coffee at a fair weight and price, always maintaining high quality. Through our joint efforts we have been able to stabilize prices, conserve our lands and ecosystems, and avoid deforestation of high-altitude forests, and the achievement of these values and goals only further encourage us to sustain our healthy work environment. We sell green and washed coffees as well as roasted and ground coffees, per our clients’ request, all with the added bonus of a cup of coffee that supports the birds and flora of our home in Loja, Ecuador.
