The primary objective of the COOPAKE (Agricultural Cooperative Kénédougou) at its inception in 1963 was the marketing of mangoes which the whole region is producing. Orodara is well known as the “”Orchard Burkina”” because of the abundance of fruit production. The COOPAKE helps create jobs for young people and taking its economic and social role in the province and the municipality of Kénédougou Orodara in particular.
The cooperative provides all expenses for the sales function in fruit farming and food: bundling and packaging, packaging and transportation, quality control and monitoring of organic farming It employs 6 permanent people, 40 seasonal, by 2010 it held 162 individual producer members.
