Product: Alpaca yarn in skeins
Produced by All Things Alpaca Ecuador (ATAE)

Description:

Our alpaca herd grazes in the mountains of Cañar Province, Ecuador, on pastures within the confines of our Mazar Wildlife Reserve. The alpacas are the economic foundation of our efforts to conserve the surrounding montane forest and paramo, and their native fauna. We shear the alpacas yearly, classify the fiber, and have it spun in one of Ecuador\'s spinning factories. We offer yarn from our alpacas in skeins of 100 gm, most with strong artificial colors. Medium weight, two-ply skeins come in broken white, light blue, cardenillo, bright pink, swamp green, copper, wine, zhiro and blood red. Single-ply skeins are available in camel, cobalt blue, silver and lemon green.

One thought on “Alpaca yarn in skeins

  1. I was given 2 balls of this yarn by friends who were recently in Ecuador. Can you tell me how many yards are in each 100 gram skein ?
The color is blood red, and I think they must be 2 ply. I am wondering about the yardage so I can figure out what to make with these 2 balls.
    Thankyou,
    Irene Cass .
