The Asosicación Forestal Indígena Madre de Dios (AFIMAD) is an indigenous economic organization uniting 5 indigenous communities, formed to meet its members' needs through the development of legal, sustainable (Fair Trade and Organic) value chains for Forest products from Madre de Dios, Peru. Our goal is that all of our indigenous producer associaties of AFIMAD be certified in 2017, working towards running their own businesses managing various aspects of the value chain (transformation, storage, etc.) in Brazil Nut as well as other forest products, which are commercialized under the brand OHEE (see our products page for more details).
