Description:In 1948, TANAC Tannin Unit started producing black wattle vegetable extracts in Montenegro, in the Brazilian southern-most state of Rio Grande do Sul. It’s output is directed to the leather industry, for drinking water and industrial effluent treatment and also drilling mud conditioners, wood adhesives among other applications. Approximately 350 employees work at this unit located on an 8-hectare, fully wooded area alonside Caí River.
