Bio:

ARCASY, CREATED IN 2010, IS AN INDIGENOUS ASSOCIATION OF THE YURACARÉ PEOPLE.

ARCASY IS THE FIRST INDIGENOUS ASSOCIATION TO BE “FAIRWILD” CERTIFIED FOR COCOA HARVESTING.

COCOA TREES GROW IN THE WILD IN THE RAINFOREST, WITHOUT CHEMICAL TREATMENT NOR HUMAN INTERVENTION. GREAT IMPORTANCE IS ATTACHED TO THE PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT. A SYMBIOSIS BETWEEN PERFECT CLIMATE, THE TROPICS, THE ANDES MOUNTAINS AND LUMINOSITY GUARANTEE A COCOA AS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY.

ARCASY WORKS IN A FAIR AND SUSTAINABLE WAY FOR- AND WITH IT’S MEMBER-HARVESTERS. THE ASSOCIATION’S STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE IS TO GENERATE AND IMPROVE YURACARE FAMILIES’ INCOMES THROUGH THE EXPORT OF WILD COCOA BEANS.
