Selvaventura is a company focusing on ecotourism, and is a pioneer in the assembly design, installation and training for canopy activities, both for use by the scientific community and the general public. We work to engage surrounding communities in a sustainable activity and to engage them as well as tourists in conservation.

We train local community members to become canopy instructors, and seek out forest areas and individual trees with high value for tourism and conservation. We currently have two operating centers, one in Brazil and one in Colombia, in the border area of the Javari and Amazon Rivers. We provide continued support to these areas, and have identified other spaces within nature reserves and/or indigenous territories that have great potential to benefit from canopy activities.

Selvaventura has worked in the field of sustainable tourism development, collaborating with educators, NGOs, private and local communities, and government organizations (such as: Amacayacu National Park, San Martin de Amacayacu, Puerto Nariño, Santa Clara del Tarapoto, La Libertad, Aviatur, Hotels Decamerón, Nature Reserve Palmarí, Nature Reserve Aguas Claras, Nature Reserve Calanoa, Foundation Omacha, Foundation Estate Vivas, Foundation Amazonia Eware, ZAMBO TRAVEL, BLUEFIELD’S). Selvaventura is committed to maintaining these ties, creating new market opportunities for eco-tourism in this outstanding region. Selvaventura has had a close relationship with the Palmarí Nature Reserve in the Javari river (Brazil), providing their canopy service, Canopying Palmari, since 2002.
