We are a small family business dedicated to the production of exotic tropical crops and agro-ecological processing of exotic fruit preserves

Bio:

La Huerta de Ina was born in 2005, but is consolidating gradually from 2009 and is now a family-integral micro enterprise located in the Campus Site Congoma Chico- Paraguas in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. In this small farm of 7 hectares we are dedicated to the production of exotic tropical crops and processing gourmet, agro ecological, artisanal, exotic, canned, tropical fruits.

All the work in la Huerta de Ina is done with environmental balance, producing our own fertilizer and rotating different crops, looking not only to maintain but also to improve soil fertility. The great diversity of crops that we produce is a key element for both environmental sustainability and for a cleaner production, which are some of the practices that we utilize to preserve environmental balance.

One of our added values is La Huerta Ina’s management of all processes in our products’ value chain, from cultivation of the fruits to preparing the ready-to-sale finished product.
La Huerta de Ina operates two workflows: Exotic fruit crops (over 70 crops such as passion fruit, papaya, arazá, borojo, plantains, bananas, etc.) and the development of more than 50 types of canned preserves and other finished products, using blends of flavours fromsurplus fruits (jams, syrups, Arropes, condiments, cookies, etc.)

La Huerta de Ina has earned national recognition in the flavours and delights contest of Ecuador, winning first place in the category “Products from short circuits” recognizing our creativity and innovation in food production.
