Bio:

By the middle of the 18th Century coffee was already being produced in different areas of Perú. Beginning in 1850, European immigrants took coffee to Chanchamayo along with cacao, tobacco and another products. In 1930, British businesses designated Chanchamayo as a coffee producing area.
Following this tradition, in 1930 Julián López Ríos started his farm in Lamas – San Martín in order to grow coffee, sugar cane, and native cacao which was considered “fino” or “aromatic”. In 1945, Don Liberato Aquino García started his first coffee farm in the highlands of Pampa del Oso, Chanchamayo, in the state of Junín first producing coffee varieties such as “typica”, “bourbon” and later, “caturra” varietals.
These gentlemen willed their love for cacao and coffee to our parents and in turn, we decided to honor them and our love of both cacao and coffee by starting our family business, not just as growers of beans but also as makers of fine chocolates and special coffees from bean to bar or bean to cup.
Our family continues this close to 100 year history. It is why we’re so deeply attached to our roots which lie in the valleys and hillsides where the finest aromatic cacao and specialty coffee are grown. We’re also completely involved in value added products from bean to bar or cup and are doing our utmost to bring you the very highest quality Premium products.
